Behold! The teaser trailer for The Animals, the short film that I wrote this past year.
The Animals is a short film that explores obsession, nature, and the doppelgänger through dark comedy and magical realism.
The film will be shot on location on the streets of LA’s Chinatown and in the forests of Topanga in June, 2011. The film is scheduled to be released in Fall, 2011.
The Animals was my first film script, having previously only written theater adaptations. The impetus for the story came when Angeline and I were driving in the body van while filming the The Ecstasy of Decay no.1. The glorious Meredith Ries, who I collaborated with all through college, came to LA from Yale to production design the film.
