In Australia we often hear people talk about the traditions of the funeral industry, how we do what we do. An often-overlooked fact, is that through the colonisation of Australia we inherited our traditions from Europe with little regard to the traditions our indigenous communities had for thousands of years. So, where then do our current ‘traditions’ come from?
