Boxes of Death: Coffin Art

Boxes of Death is an exhibition put on by Electric Coffin. 50 different artists create 50 unique art coffins that travel as a show to Seattle, Portland, and LA. I went to the Los Angeles version last night.

I was expecting some of the usual death-folk to be in attendance, but turns out it was mostly hip youngins with blaring music and live DJ. Since my companion and I are somewhat cantankerous we ducked out early, ranting about “them kids and their music and pants.” Shame, since some of the artists’ works were really pretty impressive.
